How Herb Shack Membership Works
Herb Shack membership is our loyalty programme, and it does two jobs at once. It is free to join and it pays you back for shopping with us — but registering is also the step that verifies you are 18 or over, and that is what unlocks the THC side of the shelf. One sign-up, both things sorted.
What Herb Shack membership gets you
You earn 1 point for every R1 you spend on any order of R10 or more. Points sit in your wallet until you want to use them, and there are bonuses for the obvious milestones:
- 50 points on your first purchase.
- 100 points on your birthday.
- 75 points every time you refer someone who joins.
Points last a year from when you earn them, so there is no rush — but no point sitting on thousands of them either.
Spending your points
Rewards come off your order at checkout. The two currently available are:
- R25 off — 1000 points, on orders over R100.
- R50 off — 2000 points, on orders over R200 (From Gold tier only)
To put that in context: a R1000 order earns 1000 points, so two of those gets you the R50 reward. You can redeem up to three times a day, and points can cover at most half an order.
The four tiers
The more you use it, the faster you earn. Tiers are based on points earned over time, and they lift your earn rate rather than being a badge:
- Bronze — from 0 points. Standard earn rate.
- Silver — from 10,000 points. 1.25x earning, plus early access to promotions.
- Gold — from 20,000 points. 1.5x earning and priority support.
- Platinum — from 50,000 points. 2x earning and VIP discounts.
At Platinum every R1 earns two points, so the same R600 order that earned 600 points as a Bronze member earns 1,200.
Joining
- Register with your basic details and confirmation that you are 18 or over.
- Start earning immediately — your first order collects the 50-point bonus on top of the points for the order itself.
- That is it. Nothing to renew and nothing to repeat at each order.
Once you are in, browse the shop as normal and your points look after themselves.

Buying responsibly
The 18+ check exists for a reason: nothing we sell should reach anyone under age, and edibles in particular need keeping well away from children and pets, because they look like ordinary sweets. Do not drive after using anything you buy here. If you are on medication or managing a health condition, speak to a doctor or pharmacist rather than taking advice from a shop, ours included.
Beyond that: ask us things. Knowing what our members actually want on the shelf is most of how we decide what to stock.
